We hear frequently about the tragic fatal accident of someone near and dear to us and struggle to make sense of what has happened.

We may also find ourselves dealing with loss through illness and old age which is often more or less expected.  Either way, it is helpful to seek advice if you are not dealing well with it.

In this public talk, Lama Choedak Rinpoche gives ways to work with loss and grief from a Buddhist point of view. He gives explanation of the eight worldly Dharmas, how to accept when things change, and also explains how Tibetans deal with grief after the death of a loved one.

Lama Choedak Rinpoche is one of the finest and most prominent Tibetan Buddhist meditation masters living in Australia today.

Born in Tibet, he had twelve years of rigorous monastic training under the guidance of his teacher HE. Chogye Trichen Rinpoche, including a three and a half year solitary retreat sponsored by His Holiness The Dalai Lama.

He has been living in Australia for over 30 years and brought up a family here.  He visits Port Macquarie regularly where he supports a group of  Buddhists. The talk will include opportunity for questions.

His talk at the Wauchope Community Arts Hall in Oxley Lane is at 7pm on Friday March 2.  Cost is a donation of $10 or $8 concession.

Rinpoche is in Wauchope for the weekend holding a retreat on wisdom and compassion.  For details, contact Peter Morgan on 0409928658 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
