Dharamshala Ã¢ÂÂ Sources coming out of Tibet say, a Tibetan monk set himself on fire in Kyeggudo County of Tibet in an apparent protest against the Chinese government's repressive policies in Tibet.
Dharamshala, India — The India based Tibetan 'Women's Association (TWA) has staged a peaceful protest on the 23rd year of the 11th Panshen Lama, Gedhun Choekyi Nyima abduction by the Chinese communist regime in Beijing (1995). The protesters shouted slogans such as "Where is Tibet's 11th Panchen Lama, Gedhun Choekyi Nyima? CHINA ALONE CAN ANSWER!!!."
New Delhi â Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC) condemns the recent celebrations by the Chinese Communist partyâs 50 years of Tibet Autonomous region, saying "This is 50 years of colonization and a celebration like this is uncalled for when 143 Tibetans have self immolated inside Tibet protesting Chinaâs policies."
Dharamshala â On the occasion of Tibet's Democracy Day, Tibetans gathered at the main temple of Dharamshala to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the establishment of Tibetan democracy. On the occasion, Speaker of Tibetan Parliament, Penpa Tsering, addressed the crowd of over one thousand on behalf of the Tibetan Parliament.
